Strengthening U.S.–Malaysia Collaboration in the Semiconductor Industry
MSIA Executive Director, Andrew Chan Yik Hong, together with some of MSIA Board Members, had the honour of attending the Welcome Reception for the U.S. Presidential Delegation, hosted by the AMCHAM Malaysia (American Malaysian Chamber of Commerce) and the US-ASEAN Business Council (USABC).
The reception was held to welcome U.S. President Donald J. Trump, in conjunction with his official visit to Malaysia. President Trump’s visit marks a historic milestone, as he is the third U.S. President to visit Malaysia, following President Lyndon B. Johnson’s visit in 1966 and President Barack Obama’s visit in 2014.
The event brought together distinguished leaders from government, business, and international organizations to celebrate the strong partnership and shared commitment between Malaysia and the United States especially in advancing collaboration and investment within the semiconductor and technology sectors.
