MSIA Members donates to Future Heroes: CPR-AED Training Program

29 Sep 2025

We are proud to share that MSIA members collectively donated RM42,000 in support of the Future Heroes initiative — a meaningful program dedicated to equipping students with lifesaving CPR and AED skills.

Pulau Pinang made history when 2,292 students from 27 secondary schools in the Timur Laut district participated in simultaneous CPR and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) training at Kompleks Masyarakat Penyayang. The effort earned recognition from the Malaysia Book of Records for the Largest Student Participation in a CPR & AED Training Program.

Launched in conjunction with World Heart Day, the program is spearheaded by the Penang State Government in collaboration with the State Health Department, State Education Department, industry partners, and NGOs.

This marks the beginning of a three-year statewide expansion to ensure all secondary schools in Penang have trained CPR-AED students — positioning the state to become the first in Malaysia with comprehensive cardiac emergency preparedness coverage.

As shared during the event, CPR and AED training is not just about technique — it is about the courage and confidence to act when a life is at stake.

MSIA is honoured to stand alongside industry partners and community stakeholders in building a generation of knowledgeable and courageous young lifesavers — aligned with the aspirations of Penang2030 and Malaysia MADANI.

Together, we are helping shape the Future Heroes of tomorrow.
