24 Nov 2025
MSIA was honoured to support and collaborate with STMicroelectronics, Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia, UTeM, JPN JOHOR and SEMI SEA at the Johor State Level IoT STEM Final Competition held on 24 November 2025 in Pagoh. The event brought together 31 primary school teams showcasing innovations under the theme “Innovative IoT Solutions for Sustainable Futures (SDG Focus)” using Micro:Bit technology.
Their SMART Aquaponics System impressed with IoT-enabled monitoring, automation, and data-driven optimisation — a strong example of sustainable urban farming aligned to key SDGs.
Building STEM Awareness & Malaysia’s Talent Pipeline
This collaboration reflects MSIA’s commitment to work closely with associations, universities, schools, and industry to strengthen STEM awareness. It also supports the National Semiconductor Strategy (NSS) goal of developing a strong, future-ready talent supply for Malaysia’s semiconductor ecosystem.
Thank You
Our appreciation to Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia, UTeM, STMicroelectronics, JPNJ, SEMI SEA, MOE, and all collaborators for empowering young innovators.
