Malaysia–India Strengthen Semiconductor Collaboration at High-Level Roundtable

The High Commission of India in Kuala Lumpur, with MSIA as co-organiser, successfully hosted a high-level Roundtable with the Semiconductor Industry in Malaysia.

This exclusive dialogue brought together top Malaysian semiconductor leaders for direct engagement with H.E. Mr. Jitin Prasada, Minister of State for Commerce & Industry and Electronics & IT, Government of India.

Malaysia showcased its mature semiconductor ecosystem – strategic location, deep supply chain, skilled talent and decades of manufacturing strength. joining us were representatives from Inventec Performance Chemicals, Intel Corporation, Selangor Information Technology & Digital Economy Corporation (Sidec), Blue Global Energy, GSH Precision Technology SDN BHD, ASEM - Advanced Semiconductor Academy of Malaysia, Control Automation Technology Sdn Bhd, Device Dynamics Asia (M) Sdn Bhd. India: Ambitious, Scalable & Investing Big
India acknowledged that “Malaysia mostly has everything in place”, and emphasised that India can bring scale, market access and complementary strengths.

India also highlighted major strategic initiatives:
✅ US$30 Billion in Fiscal Support to build a global electronics & semiconductor hub:

✅ Establishing a One-Stop Centre for Chip Design to streamline support, talent and resources.

✅ State-level incentive competition — different Indian states offer customised investment packages to attract semiconductor projects.
