MSIA Supports a High-Level Industry Roundtable on Germany–Malaysia Semiconductor Collaboration at Infineon Technologies (Penang)

The German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK) and the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Kuala Lumpur, in collaboration with MSIA and the Malaysian-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry | AHK Malaysia (MGCC), convened a high-level industry roundtable at Infineon Technologies Penang on 14 April 2025.

We were honoured to welcome Parliamentary State Secretary Mr. Stefan Rouenhoff, H.E. German Ambassador Silke Rockne-Daerr, and delegates from BMWK and the Embassy, alongside Mr. Tobias Pierlings of BMWK.

The session brought together senior representatives from industry associations, and semiconductor leaders including teams from Infineon Penang, Kulim, and Melaka to exchange insights on the latest industry developments, explore investment opportunities, and identify avenues to further strengthen Germany–Malaysia collaboration within the semiconductor ecosystem.
